Editor in Chief: Michelle is an American-born Vietnamese student. They are pleased to have worked on this project.

Ann (She/Her/Hers)

Editor: Ann is a first generation American-born Vietnamese. She’s currently studying Biology and it’s her last year at San Diego State University. Her infinite adoration for animals has landed her a job at an animal behavior lab. Her hobbies include making beautiful calligraphy and grossing people out with bug facts or nerdy plant facts. If you want to seek her out, get a fluffy dog. She’ll come to you. Icon by @komomorebi

Angelica (She/Her/Hers)

Co-editor: Angelica is a proud Filipina American and a third-year Literature/Writing major at UC San Diego. She loves creating things, whether it be through writing or the visual arts, and she loves talking about the things that other people create even more. You’ll probably find her burning down her kitchen as she attempts to mimic the cooking shows she loves so much.

Kay (She/Her/Hers)

Consultant/Artist/Advisor: X. Huang (Kay) is a Chinese-born American with experience in organizing community art projects, and sustainable design and implementation. She will be using her expertise to assist the Legacy team in its mission. She is active on social media as birdstonshire, and will also be featured as an artist in the Celebration zine.

Jaz (She/Her/Hers)

Book Designer: Jasmine, also known as Jaz, is a Filipino American. Jaz has obtained her Associates of Arts degree in Visual Communications and is currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise. Jaz is proud to be apart of such an amazing project that celebrates Asian American heritage.

Avery (He/Him/His)

Art Director: Avery is a first generation Chinese-American who has aspirations to become an illustrator in the future. Most of his time is spent trying to improve his digital painting as well as attempting to survive in school. But when he is not doing that, he can often be found raving furiously about story ideas in some corner of the world and screaming at the ice cubes in his water. Aside from being a complete disaster, you will find that Avery has a love affair with art history, specifically the Art Nouveau and Orientalist movements.

Sofie (She/Her/Hers)

Art Director: Sofia (also known as Fia) is a first generation Taiwanese-Vietnamese American, and first-year visual arts – media major at UC San Diego. In her free time, Fia can often be found furiously working on cosplays during convention-crunch season, trying to find new inspirations to draw and recreate, and hunting down delicious foods with friends.

Yisa (She/Her/Hers)

Site Admin: Isabel, or “Yisa” as her friends call her, is a first generation Taiwanese-Vietnamese American and second-year Human Biology major at UC San Diego. A self-proclaimed night owl, Yisa loves late-night jam sessions during/between study grinds and almost always has a song in her head. When she’s not studying, she invents her own life hacks, slings puns, and arranges music for fun.

Sheery Ann (She/Her/Hers)

Site Admin: Sheery Ann is a first generation Filipina American attending UC San Diego as a fourth-year General Biology major and English Literature minor. Although her heart is immersed in the healthcare field, every aspect behind the art of writing and reading excites her soul. She spends her free time dancing, watching YouTube videos and tv series, and probably geeking over a dog or bird she saw.

Sam (she/her/hers)

Co-Designer: Sam is a fifth/fourth generation Japanese American. She makes comics about things that interest her: food, pop culture, comics, history, and her observations about daily living and her travels. Currently, she’s a MFA candidate at the Center for Cartoon Studies. Follow her on @samnakahira on Twitter and @snakahiraart on Instagram!
