In this class, I will be making heavy use of Google Drive, Slack and Poll EV. My reason for doing this is to engage the class as a whole both inside and outside the class.

Google Drive– Google Drive is a fantastic way to store your data online in a very secure and safe way; I personally use it a lot to store especially important data i.e. HUM Essays, Lab Reports, and NSFW memes. You will be given access to Google Drive with your UCSD email account; it will be our central location for all FYE related material

Slack – Slack is a platform that allows users to communicate with one another via instant messaging and allowing you to make smaller subgroups as well. I choose it as you can install the app on Windows PC, Apple iOS, and Android. Slack updates in real time and is much faster than Gmail so if you need a quick response from me or your classmates then Slack is your best resource.

Poll EV– I will frequently use Poll EV to engage the class in discussions and get your responses to questions. Your responses will be anonymous so do not hesitate in sharing your mind freely 🙂
