Location: Sons and Daughters of Guam Club
Activity: Tour of Grounds
Walking around the Sons and Daughters of Guam Club with Olivia gave me a great insight into what this area was for. I was able to see their main clubhouse, which included many religious pictures and figures throughout the room. This taught me that many Chamorro people are deeply religious and actively practice the Catholic faith. After exploring the clubhouse, we walked around back to the large outdoor seating area. It had many traditional architectural pieces and showed me a bit of their culture just through these buildings. Olivia expressed that this is where she wanted to have her wedding one-day, which really showed how much this organization has meant to her. After seeing the club, I couldn’t wait to come back and see all the people that are apart of it.
