This interview is with Jean-Huy Tran who was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam then immigrated to the United States in 1990.  In this interview he recounts his experiences as an immigrant, his experiences in Vietnam, and how different his life has been in both countries, and memories of Vietnam through food. He was the first in his family to attend college and graduated from UCLA, and found his passion for activism in 2016 after attending the women’s march. Tran also speaks on opening up about being Queer to family and the importance of relationships.
