Bryan Najarila is a first-generation  Filipino-American man, who currently lives in Chula Vista in San Diego, California. He is a graduating senior that was a part of the Barrio Logan College Institute, where their goal is to get students to be the first in their families to go to college. Bryan appreciates his time with BLCI, as he felt that they have offered so much help in his journey towards higher education. This interview covers topics such as his experience working with BLCI and his perspective on being a first-generation college student. This interview was conducted via Zoom in order to practice social distancing as during this time covid cases have begun to spike once again. This interview was conducted by Almario Hipol, a third year Psychology major at UCSD who is interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy.
