This group is dedicated to cultivating an inclusive, collaborative, and critical Digital Humanities culture at UC San Diego. Students, faculty, and staff from all areas of campus are welcome to post relevant news, events, resources, and questions to the group forum.

We also have a smaller digital humanities research group, which facilitates communication about its bi-weekly meetings here: https://knit.ucsd.edu/groups/luddites.

      Hello all,

      I’m writing to invite you to an exciting digital humanities presentation and discussion.

      Literature faculty member Luis Martin Cabrera is working on an oral history project on the impact of lithium extraction in the indigenous communities of Argentina, Chile, and Bolivia. He is informally presenting on the project at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 6th to the digital humanities research group and librarians. We will be discussing opportunities and perils of the digital humanities aspect of the project.

      The presentation is in the Redwood Room in the Library, but I will be meeting folks in the Library lobby to guide them there. There will be coffee and pastries provided by the Graduate Student Association thanks to the efforts of Jeanelle Horcasitas.
