Organized by the Asian and Pacific Islander American Heritage Celebration (APIAHC) planning committee, UC San Diego 16th Annual Asian and Pacific Islander American Heritage Celebration kicked off this month with an in-person celebration on Friday, May 6th, 2022. “This year, we honor generations of Asian and Pacific Islander Americans (APIA) who have enriched our country’s history. This year’s theme is ‘Sharing Comfort, Community, and Care.’ Our in-person celebration will feature Minh Lê, award-winning author of ‘Green Lantern: Legacy’ for DC Comics. Live entertainment provided by UC San Diego’s own Asayake Taiko and Raas Ruckas, award-winning West-Indian dance team. In addition, we are very excited to present scholarship awards to our UC San Diego undergraduate, graduate, and alumni scholars” (UC San Diego).
