Using Terrain2STL to create this huge 3d terrain map of the American West. We used a program called meshmixxer to cut the model up into 20 smaller tiles and print them all out seperately. The plan is to use this for data viz, mapping a projector to the terrain and projecting GIS animations over the white. I used a liquid resin for the ocean, one layer of tan and then a layer of clear blue.
