This is our first crack at modeling this clunky 1910s body armor meant to protect U.S. soldiers from machine gun fire. The whole thing weighed 40 pounds.
It would seem that the few pictures and videos available online show at least 3 different variants, and we have no idea what the internal spring mechanisms looked like.We’re working on getting the measurements right, but there doesn’t seem to be a lot of information online.
