Lisa Santa Cruz is a Barrio Logan College Institute (BLCI) program director. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and moved to San Diego to build a career providing access to higher education for underserved populations. The interview addresses the mission of BLCI and how it has been impacting the community in Chula Vista since 2012. The interview was conducted via Zoom to practice social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The interview was conducted by Daniela Sodré, a fourth-year Psychology major at UCSD interested in School Counseling and Cross-Cultural Psychology research.
