The San Diego AD-RCMAR brings together strengths of both UC San Diego and San Diego State University, including UCSD’s strengths in clinical, research and training programs focused on aging, Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias, public health, climate, medicine, pharmaceutical science, and engineering; and SDSU’s strengths as a research-prolific Hispanic-Serving Institution with highly ranked, robust programs in public health and psychology, vast experience in advancing the careers of Latino and other individuals underrepresented in science, and an established history of working with underserved communities in San Diego County.

The San Diego AD-RCMAR is lead by three outstanding faculty, including Alison Moore, MD, MPH (UCSD Geriatrics, Gerontology and Palliative Care), John Elder, PhD (SDSU Public Health), and Paul Gilbert, PhD (SDSU Psychology), and benefits from the expertise of multiple faculty members committed to supporting our AD-RCMAR Scientists and advancing ADRD research.
