Our Team

The San Diego AD-RCMAR brings together strengths of both UC San Diego and SDSU, including neurosciences and the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC), geriatrics, psychology, community and public health, health disparities, and training of underrepresented minority students and faculty. The Center is lead by four outstanding faculty, including Alison Moore, MD, MPH (UCSD Geriatrics, Gerontology and Palliative Care), Hector Gonzalez, PhD (UCSD Neurosciences/ADRC), John Elder, PhD (SDSU Public Health), and Paul Gilbert, PhD (SDSU Psychology), and benefits from the expertise of multiple faculty members committed to supporting our AD-RCMAR Scientists and advancing ADRD research.
