Beatriz Velez was born and raised in San Diego, CA. She is currently the BLCI-El Cajon manager. She was a student in BLCI growing up and worked part time with the program after she graduated and is now the manager in El Cajon. Her main focus is working with parents and students to become more involved and ready them for college and life. This interview covers the mission of BLCI- El Cajon and how Beatriz has been impacted by it. This interview was conducted via Zoom. The interview was conducted by Skylar Minor, a third year Human Biology major at UCSD who is interested in working with students and families.
